8-hour cancellation window
Bookings cancelled at least 8 hours before the scheduled appointment are generally eligible for cancellation without a penalty and for refund review where payment was collected.

The cancellation and refund rules that apply to bookings, prepaid amounts, service interruptions, and refund processing timelines.
Carfahas aims to keep cancellation and refund rules clear before a customer commits to a booking. This policy explains when a booking can be cancelled, when a prepaid amount may be refunded, and how Carfahas handles service interruptions or customer no-shows.
This policy should be read together with the booking details shown at checkout and the platform Terms & Conditions. If applicable law grants a stronger customer protection right, that rule will prevail.
At a glance
Bookings cancelled at least 8 hours before the scheduled appointment are generally eligible for cancellation without a penalty and for refund review where payment was collected.
Once the inspection has started or a report has been materially produced, refunds are usually unavailable except where Carfahas is responsible for a service failure.
Approved refunds are typically returned to the original payment method, but bank or network timelines may affect how quickly the funds appear.
If a customer cancels a booking at least 8 hours before the scheduled appointment time, Carfahas generally treats the cancellation as timely. Where payment has already been collected, the booking will typically qualify for a full refund review to the original payment method, subject to fraud and verification checks.
Cancellation requests should be submitted through the platform when available or through official support channels using the same account or booking information tied to the reservation.
Cancellations requested less than 8 hours before the appointment, repeated short-notice changes, or customer no-shows may be treated as non-refundable because the operational capacity for that slot was already reserved. This is especially relevant when an inspector has already been assigned or dispatched.
Carfahas may, at its discretion, review emergency cases or clearly documented exceptions, but approval is not automatic.
If Carfahas cancels a confirmed booking, cannot dispatch the service within a reasonable operational window, or cannot complete the service for a reason within our control, the customer may be offered a reschedule, service credit, or full refund depending on the circumstances and payment status.
If only part of a service was delivered, Carfahas may review whether a partial remedy, partial refund, or alternative service arrangement is more appropriate than a full refund.
Refunds are generally unavailable once the inspection has materially started, the inspector has completed the agreed visit, or the inspection report has been generated and delivered, except where the service outcome is affected by an issue attributable to Carfahas and a remedy is justified.
Refunds may also be denied where the customer provided materially incorrect booking information, failed to provide vehicle access, or otherwise prevented the service from being completed.
Approved refunds are ordinarily returned through the original payment method used for the booking. If that method is unavailable, blocked, or no longer valid, Carfahas may request additional verification and may agree on another documented refund route that preserves auditability.
Processing time after approval may vary by payment provider, bank, card network, and regulatory checks. Customers should allow a reasonable processing period before escalating a missing-refund inquiry.
Carfahas may update this policy when operational rules, payment methods, or consumer-protection requirements evolve. The latest version published on this page will apply from its stated effective date.
If you believe a cancellation or refund decision was made in error, contact Carfahas support with your booking reference and the reason for your request so the case can be reviewed.
